Pantoprazole 40 mg Tab- GA

Pantoprazole is used to treat certain conditions in which there is too much acid in the stomach. It is used to treat erosive esophagitis or “heartburn” caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where the acid in the stomach washes back up into the esophagus. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which in turn relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Pantoprazole should be taken 1 hour before a meal preferably in the morning. It is a well-tolerated medicine and provides relief for a long time. Long-term use of Pantoprazole can cause weak bones and a deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor. Take as directed by physician.

1.Peptic ulcers: Ulcers in the lining of the stomach or duodenum (first part of the small intestine).

2.Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Also known as heartburn, this condition occurs when stomach acid backs up into the esophagus, causing a burning sensation in the chest.

3.Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: A rare condition that causes the stomach to produce too much acid.
