Esomeprazole 20mg Tablet is a medicine that reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. It is used to treat acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and other problems in your food pipe. It is also used to prevent and treat stomach ulcers. it is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn. . It is usually taken on an empty stomach. Keep taking it as prescribed even if your symptoms disappear quickly. take as directed by physician.

1.Heartburn (acid reflux)

2.Erosive esophagitis (damage to the lining of the esophagus caused by stomach acid)

3.Peptic ulcers (sores in the lining of the stomach or duodenum, the first part of the small intestine)

4.Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a condition that causes the stomach to produce too much acid)

Esomeprazole may also be used:

1.To prevent ulcers caused by taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like aspirin or ibuprofen.

2.To heal ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, when used in combination with antibiotics.
